Golden Tea
Japanese Drip Green Tea
Drip-Brewed Golden Tea /No Specialist Equipment Needed
This Golden Tea contains no additives and is pure Japanese tea.
Important Notes
Because the tea is fully extracted, leaving it for too long may cause oxidation. For the best flavour and health benefits, enjoy it while the colour remains golden. We recommend using paper filters. Metal filters allow fine particles to pass through and reduce clarity. Powdered teas such as matcha are not suitable for drip brewing, as they will clog the filter. Please use tea leaves specifically designed for drip-style brewing.
Features of Japanese Drip Green Tea
No traditional Japanese teapot is required. Enjoy Japanese golden tea the same way you brew coffee. Produces a clear and vibrant golden-yellow colour. Brewing with boiling water and the jumping effect helps release amino acids (theanine) and catechins evenly. The paper filter removes excess bitterness and fine particles, resulting in a clean, clear taste. Aromatic compounds trapped in the tea leaves are released into the air during brewing. Even with boiling water, the tea naturally cools during dripping, reaching an ideal drinking temperature of 60–70°C, where natural sweetness is easier to enjoy.
Green tea has been enjoyed in Japan for centuries and contains a wide range of beneficial compounds, including catechins and theanine.
In recent years, various studies have suggested that drinking green tea on a daily basis may help support overall health and well-being.
1. Supporting Beauty and Skin Health
Green tea contains catechins and vitamins with strong antioxidant properties, which are believed to help protect the skin from oxidative stress caused by factors such as UV exposure. This may contribute to the prevention of dark spots and freckles, as well as helping to slow the visible signs of skin aging.
2. Supporting the Prevention of Lifestyle-Related Diseases and Weight Management
Catechins and saponins are known to help reduce fat absorption and moderate rapid increases in blood sugar levels. These effects may support the prevention of lifestyle-related conditions such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, while also contributing to the reduction of body fat.
3. Enhancing Focus and Promoting Relaxation
The combination of caffeine and theanine found in green tea creates a unique synergistic effect: it helps improve concentration while maintaining a calm and relaxed state of mind. This makes green tea a suitable beverage for moments when you want to stay alert without feeling overstimulated.
4. Supporting Immune Function and Antibacterial Properties
Catechins and vitamin C are believed to support the activity of immune cells, potentially helping to reduce the risk of colds and foodborne illnesses. In addition, catechins may help inhibit the growth of bacteria in the mouth, contributing to the prevention of tooth decay and bad breath.
5. Supporting Brain and Mental Health
The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of catechins are thought to help slow age-related changes in the brain. Combined with the relaxing effects of theanine, green tea may support cognitive function and overall mental well-being.
6. Supporting Digestive Health
Some reports suggest that higher concentrations of catechins may help soothe digestive discomfort, making green tea a helpful addition to daily health management.
